Thanks for stopping by! I am Jessica Dory - long time Denver mom of three great kids and photography lover since childhood.
My first camera was film and I developed photos in the darkroom when I was Editor in chief of my high school newspaper. l also have a Bachelor of Fine Art from the University of Colorado.
I offer lifestyle and documentary photography and specialize in Maternity, Birth, Newborn, Fresh 48, Family, & Milestone Sessions. I also offer branding and headshots for businesses. Serving Denver, Colorado and surrounding communities.

What style of family & newborn photography do you offer?
I offer lifestyle and documentary photography. I love to capture genuine moments of interaction and document real life moments with your families. I do offer very light posing and prompting to get the best possible combination of images. I love to be creative and playful and it’s my biggest joy to create art for your family. I offer sessions in my studio, in your home and outdoor golden hour family and maternity sessions are also offered.
What is your photography experience and background?
Since I was a child I always loved creating visual images and art. I first did photography in high school and college and my first cameras were film! I have a Bachelor of Fine Art and always dreamed of running my own business. I started building my photography business in 2019 and never looked back. Prior to this I worked for many years as the assistant to the owner of a famous Denver restaurant and nightclub where I supported the owner in all manner of running the restaurant and venue.
What does the studio session involve?
The studio is a gorgeous natural light space where we can create images that are charming/boho, or minimalist and always unique. The studio is perfect for childhood milestones and I love to do cake smash and nursing and motherhood sessions. You also have access to my continuously expanding client closet as well as styling guidance.
How does it all work?
The first thing I love to do with every future client is schedule a short 10 minute phone call to discuss what you are looking for from your session. This helps me to understand your needs in order to design the perfect session for your family or project. Once we talk I will send over several available dates/times and once you make the retainer payment you are on my schedule! From there we can discuss wardrobe, location and any other question that you have. I send my galleries within two weeks of your session date.
I do offer print products and can create a beautiful heirloom book or other products if you desire.
What about branding photography?
Branding is my latest passion and I draw on my many years of working in restaurants and bars as well as my creative arts background and BFA. I my love working with other businesses to create imagery that you will love, will tell your story, and help your business grow. I also offer headshots in the studio.
Do I have to share my images?
Nope, but I love when you do. However they are yours and I never use anything without permission.
Do you ever offer discounted sessions?
Sometimes I run model calls and that is a good way to get a session with a moderate discount in exchange for signing a model release. I also offer mini sessions 2-3 times a year.
I believe everyone should have access to heirloom quality photos of themselves with their family and I try to keep my rates affordable. As a mom of three I know that kids are expensive! but they also sure are cute - so it’s important to get them documented as they grow.
